New Executive Chef to Change Things up @ Justin's

Jennifer Dearstyne has been working towards finding her own kitchen ever since she started cooking as a child. A resident of Albany since 1983, her first job was at the Italian Community Center, washing dishes, when she was fourteen years old.

Dearstyne remembers those days clearly, "I started washing dishes and couldn't keep my eyes of the cooks," she continues, "Now my dreams are coming true, I am getting paid to do the thing I love."

Justin's is proud to welcome Dearstyne's creativity and energy towards her food. Her mellow personality rubs off not only on her kitchen help, but the entire staff in the front of the house.

A new summer menu has been created, which combines Justin's signature dishes with a handful of new options, as well as some selections she has tweaked subtly. She has created side dishes that can be mixed and matched with entrees, allowing customers to substitute to their liking (rather than stick strictly to the menu). Dearstyne understands you may not always want steak and potatoes; sometimes a side salad is the perfect compliment.

At 36, Dearstyne has put in her time and developed a personal style. Her love of food is clear and her leadership in the kitchen can't go unnoticed.

The new menu is out, come to Justin's and taste the difference!
